Macha is a group of meteorite craters in the western Sakha Republic, Far Eastern Federal District of Russia. The crater, measuring 300 metres in diameter, is the largest of a field of 5 craters with diameters ranging from 60 to 300 m. Two largest craters form the pear shaped Abram Lake, but three smaller craters are located to the north.〔(【引用サイトリンク】title=Macha crater field )〕 Impact craters have been very well preserved. Craters may have been the result of the fall of iron meteorites, with an estimated age of impact approximately 7,300 years ago (Holocene). == References == * * E.P. Gurov, E.P.
